Model Opti Sailboat Build
Description
In this class woodworker and boatbuilder Andy Willner will take you step by step through the process of building a model Opti sailboat from a kit. The International Optimist Dinghy, or Opti as it is commonly called, is the most popular child sail training boat ever. Most sailors have their first sailing experiences in this boat and we have a fleet of our own for the Youth Sailing program. We will build the model from a 1:15 scale model kit. Families who wish to build one model with 2 persons will only have to purchase one kit, but will have to pay the additional Joint Tuition.

Joint Instruction
Friends or family of a student are welcome to participate in the class as a 2nd builder on the construction of a single kit. This is a great opportunity to learn and work together with the ability to bring the skills home for the construction of your next model. Joint instruction must be accompanied with someone taking the full instruction and purchasing a kit.
