Basket Weaving-Bread Basket-April 27, 2019

04/27/2019 10:00 AM - 04:00 PM ET

Description

Join us for this introductory course in basket weaving. Instructor, Patti Brousseau, gives in-depth, but easy-to-follow instructions on weaving. Bread Baskets are simple, yet incredibly versatile; they can not only hold bread, but also be used for other odds and ends (remotes, folded cloth napkins, etc). The design for this course is a bread basket that measures approximately 6"x9"x5", with no handle; the base has an open weave design, and you can decorate the sides in your own style. You can do a plain, simple weave, or can include dyed reed, seagrass, or ribbon. There is also an option to add a wire spindle handle or a leather handle for a small fee.

This class is open to all skill levels, new and beginner weavers alike. By the end of the course you will have enough knowledge to understand the terms used in a basket pattern and confident enough to continue exploring basket weaving on your own.
