Coast Guard Captain's License Course / Riverport Women's Sailing Conference
Description
The Hudson River Maritime Museum is partnering with Explorers Guide Maritime Academy to bring you a blended Captain's class. This class is a USCG-Approved OUPV 6 Pack Captain's License which lets you take 6 passengers for hire, plus crew, on your vessel.
The course was designed for Captains working and boating on federal waters with passengers for hire on a power-driven boat. This includes sail/aux sailing instructors, power boat instructors, tours, fishing and similar activities.
Class instructor is Capt Jaimie Bartlett.
The class is divided into two sections. First is the 28 hours of online instructions followed by the three day classroom portion.
The online section of the course is available 24/7 and can be accessed by the Moodle app. This prepares you for the classroom portion which includes plotting, navigation, and review of the Navigation Rules of the Road.
