CANCELLED: October Museum Mates: Verrazano's Exploration

In conjunction with the Italian Cultural Festival, the Hudson River Maritime Museum will host an event where children create miniature replica Verrazano-Narrows bridges. Under the supervision of Maritime Museum educators, children will learn about Giovanni da Verrazano's exploration of the North American coastline 75 years before Henry Hudson sailed in the area. Children will then participate in a STEM activity designed to teach them about bridge engineering. The event will take place alongside Italian Cultural Festival activities at the Hudson River Maritime Museum. 

This event is geared toward children ages 5 to 12 years old

1:00PM to 3:00PM

Price: Free for Household Members and above; $5 for General Registration- includes museum admission.
