Youth Basic Centerboard Sailing Class, Sunday, September 6, 10 am to 1 pm

This 3-hour introductory class for youth sailors (ages nine through seventeen) who are new to sailing serves as the prerequisite course to Youth Centerboard Sailing Clinic classes. During class time,  three or four students and one instructor will sail aboard a stable, 16.5 foot Catalina Capri centerboard sailboat. The basics of sailing will be introduced or reviewed, and students will participate in capsize practice, so participants should wear bathing suits or clothes that can get wet.

Covid-19 guidelines will be followed. Class will take place outside, all participants will be required to wear face coverings when not in the water, and equipment will be sanitized frequently. If the weather is threatening,the class will be postponed, usually to the following Sunday.  

Instructor/Student Ratio is 4: 1

Tuition: $55 per student for General Registration. $50 per student HRMM Household member.
