This class is a perfect opportunity to get out onto the Hudson River for a two-hour Introductory Sail aboard the historic Catboat Tidbit with a certified instructor. Participants do not need any sailing experience to sign up, but experienced sailors are also welcome to join us. Learn the basics of sailing and enjoy two hours on the  beautiful Rondout Creek and Hudson River. Instructors will customize for the participants in each class. 

Three (3) participants minimum required (3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child). If only one or two are signed up, Sailing Program staff will contact participants to reschedule as soon as possible to another date.

Maximum of 5 participants.

General Registration:                      $50 - Adults & Teens  (13+)   
Individual Member Registration:   $45 - Adults & Teens  (13+)    
Household Member & Above:        $40 -  Adults & Teens  (13+)    

Children (ages 5-12):    $35    Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. No children younger than age five.

Cancellation Policy: Full refunds will be offered for cancellations that occur 30 days or more before a program's registration deadline (if no deadline, the first day of the program). Cancellations between 30 and 7 days will be offered a 50% refund or credit toward another class. Cancellations after the registration deadline or within 7 days of the first day of class (whichever comes first!) will not be refunded.

Weather Cancellation: Generally, the Sailing School does not cancel classes. However, we stay ashore if conditions are dangerous, i.e. squall or thunder and lightning. In the event of dangerous weather conditions, please check your email two hours before class. In case of dangerous weather, we will postpone the class and set a make-up date.
