Youth Basic Keelboat Sailing Class, Tuesday, Aug. 17, 9 am to noon

This 3-hour introductory class is for youth sailors (ages nine through seventeen) who are new to Keel boat sailing or who would like to learn more about sailing keel boats.  Students may be brand new to sailing, or they may have some sailing experience.  During class time,  three or four students and one instructor will sail aboard a stable 24 or 25 foot Keel boat.  The basics of sailing will be introduced or reviewed, and students will experience different crew roles and participate in sailing the boat. 

Covid-19 guidelines will be followed as required by authorities.  Registered participants will receive an email a week before the class date with details.   We sail in a variety of conditions, including light rain and cloudy conditions.  Occasionally, if thunder/lightning is possible, we will postpone the class. We will email registrants two hours before the start of the class with this update. 

Instructor/Student Ratio is 4: 1

Tuition: $55 per student for General Registration. $50 per student HRMM Household member.
